Little Greek Fresh Grill, a fast-casual Greek restaurant with an American influence, will open a location this fall in Quincy, Illinois, according to Nick Vojnovic, Little Greek president.

“This will be our first location in Illinois,” says Vojnovic. “We hope to open by November of this year.”

The franchise owner is Scott Smith. Little Greek Fresh Grill will be located at 3726 Broadway Street. Construction on the space has already begun.

“We are particularly pleased to have a well prepared and deeply rooted Quincyan like Scott joining our system,” Vojnovic adds.

Smith, 34, is a Quincy native with 13 years of experience in restaurant management. He is a 2002 graduate of Quincy Senior High School and holds bachelors and masters degrees from Quincy University.

“We’re thrilled to open in Quincy,’” says Smith. “We’re working hard to open as soon as we feel the quality is where it should be in our restaurant.”

Little Greek Fresh Grill emphasizes fresh Greek dishes created from generations of traditional family recipes, with its chicken items among the most popular. The Quincy location will offer dine-in, take-out and catering.

“With the Greek/Mediterranean segment exploding, Quincy is the perfect location for Little Greek,” Vojnovic added.  “All the dishes are homemade.”

Tampa, Fla.-based Little Greek Fresh Grill currently has 36 locations in five states (Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio and Texas).
