The Loop Pizza Grill has been part of communities in the Jacksonville, Florida, area for more than three decades. Now, the growing chain has a new southern home in Clay County. The Fleming Island Loop is the first of several planned openings for the chain.

The new restaurant opened at the Island Walk North shopping center, 1960 E. West Parkway, Suite 110, in Fleming Island. The 3,100-square-foot space will allow diners to enjoy 94 seats inside, as well as 28 seats on an outdoor patio.

The Loop Pizza Grill has opened a new location in Fleming Island. The restaurant is the first of several planned openings.

Mike Schneider, The Loop’s co-founder and president, says The Loop is looking forward to serving the community.

“We have been hearing from Fleming Island residents for several years now that they want a Loop near them,” Schneider says. “We are looking forward to being part of their neighborhood and making it easier to get our pizza, burgers, salad and shakes.”

The Fleming Island Loop is being opened by franchisee Maurilio Gonzalez, who runs successful Loops in Nocatee, Neptune Beach and Julington Creek.

The restaurant chain intends to open additional franchisee opportunities in coming months. The Fleming Island Loop is the first of three Loops either under construction or under contract.

“The Loop is a concept diners love, and we’re thrilled to be expanding so we can serve new communities,” Schneider says.

The Fleming Island location is the endcap of a shopping center that includes Fresh Market as an anchor.

Hours for the new Loop are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
