MAD Greens will open two locations in Colorado in just two weeks. Its first Westminster restaurant at 1181 W. 120th Avenue, Suite 300 will open with a Free Salad Day on April 28, and a Lone Tree location will open at Lincoln Avenue and RidgeGate Parkway two weeks later.
This is the first time in company history the chain has opened restaurants in such quick succession, highlighting MAD Greens’ aggressive expansion plans for 2015 and beyond.
Both locations will utilize MAD Greens’ newest prototype, designed by Denver-based Xan Creative and featuring a blend of natural design elements, an updated ordering process, and digital menu boards.
“Not only is this is our first Westminster location, MAD Greens is introducing features and menu offerings never before seen at our previous Colorado locations,” says Marley Hodgson, MAD Greens co-founder and chief strategy officer. “For the first time, our guests can try freshly made juices with the produce they love, and we have a whole new look and feel, with great natural elements and new technology.”
Starting with the Westminster location, all new MAD Greens restaurants will feature a juice bar where guests can order up drinks made from the same fresh produce as the chain’s signature salads. The MAD Greens restaurants built prior to 2015 will be retrofitted to include juice bars when feasible.
MAD Greens will host its Free Salad Day in Westminster from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, and will be accepting donations to benefit the nearby Arapahoe Ridge Elementary School. Funds raised will support the school’s growing technology program. The party continues on May 14 as MAD Greens celebrates the opening of its new Lone Tree restaurant with another Free Salad Day. Event time and the selected charity partner for the Lone Tree celebration are to be announced.
Committed to using local companies and locally sourced ingredients on its menu, MAD Greens partners with local farms and suppliers when possible to provide its lettuce, vegetables, herbs, and even started its own farm in partnership with Agriburbia in 2013. Local growers and brands served in MAD Greens’ Colorado restaurants include Alhburg Farms, Bing Energy, Boulder Organic Tofu, Charles Johnson Farms, Izzio’s Artisanal Bakery, Jumpin’ Good Goat Dairy, Petrocco Farms, and OLOMOMO Nut Company, among others.
