Canadian quick-serve franchise Made In Japan Teriyaki Experience announces the appointment of Nick Veloce as the new company President effective June 15, 2007. Veloce is largely credited for successfully breaking the company into the U.S. market and setting up the brand to become a leader in the Asian dining segment. As president, he will continue to spearhead the company’s world wide expansion through franchise development.

Veloce began his career with Made In Japan Teriyaki Experience in April 1986, working as a store manager while attending university. As a result of his outstanding track record, he was appointed COO in 1998, a title he will continue to hold as president. Veloce was also elected as a director of the company.

“Nick is and has been an integral part of the development and success of our brand,” said Lou Donato, Made In Japan Teriyaki Experience’s previous president, who now serves as chairman and company CEO. “In the past 20 years, his dedication and value to our company has grown exponentially.”

“This is an exciting time for me to take the position as president of Made In Japan Teriyaki Experience with our expansion into the US and growing international and domestic presence,” said Nick Veloce. “Over the course of my tenure, the company has continued to reach new horizons and I am honored by the opportunity to continue our charge forward leading my outstanding staff. The past and future success of our brand is greatly a result of the dedication of each and every staff member and each and every franchisee.”
