Made in Taiwan for a Drive-thru Near You

    Industry News | May 17, 2003

There is some suggestion around the industry that when it comes to the drive-thru the beverage is the slowest part of the food delivery. Why? Because people are afraid of spilling their drink. Plain and simple.

Today at the NRA Show a product from Taiwan, that promises to solve this problem, and then some, made its North American debut. The SealMAX, a product of Illinois-based teINnovations Inc., actually heat-seals a plastic cover on top of your drink. According Daniel Tein, executive manager, this device is essentially mandatory in Taiwanese foodservice operations.

While it?s unlikely the SealMAX will reach the same level in the U.S., there may be some very interesting possibilities for use here. For more information email dtein@teinnovations.com.
