Main Squeeze Juice Co., a newcomer to the more than $5 billion juice market, has signed a development deal to bring as many as three stores to the Metairie and Greater New Orleans area, the first of which is slated to open in time for the 2019 Mardi Gras season.

Located at 3660 Veterans Blvd, the upcoming location will be owned and operated by brother and sister duo Jennifer Perkins and Andrew Blackwell, along with their spouses, Ricky Perkins and Elizabeth Blackwell.

“We are passionate about health and wellness, and we are excited to continue our mission to bring health and wellness to our community,” says Jennifer Perkins. “When we first tried Main Squeeze, we were all blown away by the quality, taste and packed nutrition. We knew this was the perfect product to share with our family, friends and neighbors.”

No stranger to franchising, prior to owning a Main Squeeze, Jennifer opened her first Anytime Fitness, while her brother Andrew worked as a personal trainer within the facility. Later on, Andrew joined Jennifer on the management side and helped open two additional Anytime Fitness gyms. Through gym ownership, the duo saw a discrepancy between people working out in the gym and not having quick access to nutrition. Main Squeeze was the ideal solution.

“The focus on healthy living has been growing recently- it’s no longer a trend, it’s a way of life many are choosing to adopt, and proper nutrition is a major factor in overall health,” Andrew says. “From our first experience with Main Squeeze, we knew we wanted to bring it home to the New Orleans and Metairie communities. Main Squeeze may be the newest player in the juice market, but it is unlike the others: It offers a genuine healthy choice. I wanted to bring home this delicious and good-for-you brand.”

Main Squeeze’s mission is to make healthy easier, and the company’s nutritionist-designed, superfood-centric menu does exactly that by offering a daily source of plant-based nutrition packed with natural and quick energy. The concept’s proprietary recipes feature chef-inspired cold-pressed juices and superfood smoothies, along with one-, two- and three-day juice cleanse programs, wellness shots, and acai bowls created from organic and wild-harvested acai berries from the Amazon rainforest in Northeast Brazil.

“Health begins and ends with how you choose to fuel your body,” adds Thomas Nieto, CEO of Main Squeeze. “We strongly believe in crafting a menu with something for everyone, and we pride ourselves in knowing that every menu item is specifically chosen to help fuel and build a healthier lifestyle.”

With four locations now open and operating, Main Squeeze Juice Co. plans to open several more stores throughout the next year. According to Nieto, the brand currently has nearly 40 additional franchisee- and corporate-owned locations in various stages of development, and is poised to become a household brand within the next few years.
