Mama Fu’s Asian House, an Austin, Texas-based, privately held fast-casual restaurant, unveiled the featured ingredient for their latest Spice Market Menu offering: Chili Peppers. The limited-time-only menu will be available at all Mama Fu’s locations beginning January 1 through March 31.
Inspired both by dishes throughout Asia and classic bites from Texas, Mama Fu’s has fused Asian comfort food with barbeque essentials to create its latest Chili Spice Market Menu, which includes:
Rangoon Poppers
An Asian appetizer with a spicy Texas twist, halved jalapenos filled with real blue crab meat, cream cheese and scallions, then fried in a Rangoon wrapper, topped off with a Togarashi spice blend and served with dynamite ranch.
Honey Sriracha Skewers
A staple made famous by Asian street vendors, no one can resist saucy chicken on a stick. Chicken thigh skewers, glazed with a mild honey sriracha chili sauce, served with house pickled vegetables and rice.
Hunan Bacon Stir Fry
Not only does this dish celebrate China’s Hunan Province and their love for spicy foods, but it was an excuse to offer thick cut bacon in a Mama Fu’s dish. Preserved red chilies, bok choy, carrots, water chestnuts and smoky bacon, tossed with your choice of protein and black bean chili garlic sauce.
Jalapeno Brisket Fried Rice
A dish like this can only be born after much experimenting. Fried rice sets the stage for a Texas infusion. Smoked brisket, charred onions, jalapenos and mushrooms convert this traditional dish into something incredibly unique and delicious.
Dragon Noodles
There are Asian dishes that will make you break a sweat, but this noodle dish will make you breathe fire. Habanero, Bird’s Eye and Arbol chilies, delicate vermicelli noodles, Thai basil, onion, baby corn and celery with your choice of protein.
Mama Fu’s will be celebrating the new menu with Chilis for Charity, a chili eating contest held at the Southpark Meadows location on Jan. 20 where they will be donating up to $25,000 to select charities.
Mama Fu’s currently has 28 locations open and operating worldwide, two of those being in the UAE. There are more than 30 locations currently in development.
