Marco’s Pizza added two new pizzas to its menu: Spicy Fresco Three Cheese and Spicy Double Pepperoni Fresco. Both pizzas are limited-time offers and will be available at participating Marco’s Pizza locations nationwide from August 4 through October 26. The signature ingredient on both pizzas is Marco’s special Giardiniera, an authentic Italian pepper relish that adds extra kick of spice and sophistication to the flavor profile of the pizzas
“Sweet and spicy is a very popular flavor combination right now, so we think these new pizzas will have broadappeal,” says Cathy Hull, chief marketing officer at Marco’s Pizza. “The Italian pepper relish is a really flavorfuladdition to the fresh ingredients of our pizzas that adds just the right amount of kick.”
Spicy Double Pepperoni Fresco features double pepperoni on Marco’s signature three-cheese blend with thespicy kick of Italian pepper relish, sweet fresh red bell peppers, and red onions. Spicy Fresco Three Cheese is anon-meat option featuring spicy Italian pepper relish, sweet fresh bell peppers, and red onions on Marco’sthree-cheese blend.
Marco’s Pizza will support the promotion period with several “A Little Kick”-themed efforts, beginning with asocial media contest on August 5 that invites fans to tell Marco’s why they, or someone they know, needs “alittle kick” to their day or week. One winner a day will receive a certificate for a free large Spicy Fresco ThreeCheese or Spicy Double Pepperoni Fresco pizza. In addition, Marco’s Pizza will celebrate National Hot & SpicyDay on August 19 with a national “Slice of Spice” sampling event.
