Tracking steadily toward its goal of opening a total of 40 new stores in 2009, Marco’s Pizza (Marco’s Franchising, LLC) has reached the halfway point six months into the calendar year. Marco’s has opened 20 stores in six months—more than ten percent chain growth in half a year.

“In an economic climate where some restaurant companies aren’t opening stores at all, Marco’s Pizza is fortunate and proud of its growth,” said CEO Jack Butorac. “Our truly high-quality pizza and 11 consecutive quarters of positive same-store sales growth are helping to drive expansion.”

So far this year, Marco’s Pizza has opened new stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia. California, Colorado, Texas, and Virginia represent new states of operation for the company as well. There are more than 800 new Marco’s stores signed and in development.
