Marco’s Pizza, which has experienced double digit sales increases in its Cleveland Stores in the last two quarters, announced a 30-store expansion in the Cleveland area and will kick off the project with a Discovery Day from 11am – 1pm and 6pm – 8pm, Wednesday, May 2 at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel on Engle Rd in Middleburg Heights, which is a day for interested and qualified entrepreneurs and potential franchisees to learn about Marco’s.


“Since we were founded in Toledo some 27 years ago, Ohio is our home state, and we have been pleasantly surprised by the performance of our stores in Cleveland,” explained Jack Butorac, Jr., president of Marco’s Franchising, who has put the company on a growth program with plans to be in 10 states by the end of 2007 and 500 units by 2010.


“We enlisted the support of Map Info, one of the leading retail site selection firms in the country, and they have identified another 30 sites in Cleveland,” he added.


Marco’s Pizza currently has 155 units in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Florida, Nevada and Arizona.
