Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies has opened its first kiosk location inside the Ilac Center, an iconic shopping destination in the heart of Dublin, Ireland, marking the franchise company’s entry into the European market.

“Opening our first store in Europe has been tremendously exciting for us,” says Erin Hicks, executive vice president for Maui Wowi Hawaiian. “We are confident that our products and brand are like nothing they have seen before and we have received a very warm welcome from the people of Dublin.”

Conveniently located near the main entrance to the Ilac Center on Henry Street, the Maui Wowi kiosk features all-natural and gluten-free fresh fruit smoothies, Hawaiian coffee and espresso, iced coffee and other authentic Hawaiian products.

This is the first fixed retail unit for master franchisor Paul Hickey, who has been granted the master franchise rights to the country of Ireland. Hickey has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and catering industry in both Ireland and the United States. His knowledge of the café and catering sector provides a valuable background for his newest venture with Maui Wowi Hawaiian.

Hickey has plans to broaden the brand’s reach by offering sub-franchising opportunities throughout Ireland. The U.S. based franchise company says it is preparing for aggressive expansion in Ireland within the next 18 months.
