Maui Wowi Hawaiian, a Hawaiian coffee and fresh fruit smoothie franchise, has appointed Mike Weinberger as its new CEO.

Owner and former CEO Michael Haith will continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors as the company experiences a time of growth and expansion. The franchise is available in nine countries, with almost 500 operating units, and is expecting up to 100 new developments this year.

Weinberger began his professional career working as an attorney, but decided to make the move to the franchise world in 2008. In 2011, he traded in his tie for a Hawaiian shirt and joined Maui Wowi Hawaiian as vice president of operations.

As CEO, Weinberger aims to support franchisees and the entire system as they grow the business by implementing new initiatives. Haith will continue to be a vital part of the company, focusing primarily on the strategic and financial goals of the organization.

“Mike is uniquely qualified for this role, as he has established the ability to understand the vision, mission, and culture of Maui Wowi,” Haith says. “He has demonstrated the passion and leadership qualities necessary to continue to steer Maui Wowi in the direction of a premier quality franchise system.”

Weinberger adds, “We have worked together to achieve many goals over the years that are evidenced in the success of our brand and our culture. As CEO, I am excited to play a larger role and to be part of a company that is dedicated to collaboration, quality products, and meeting the needs of our franchisees and customers.”
