Maui Wowi Welcomes More to the Family

Maui Wowi Hawaiian, a franchise company specializing in Hawaiian coffees and fruit smoothies, announced the addition of a new franchisee in Southern California. Jason Kounas and girlfriend Jordan Lovato from Highland, California, signed an agreement to operate up to three units.

Kounas has been a physical education teacher and community college baseball coach for 18 years, and Jordan is a mother of two boys.

“We researched several coffee businesses and chose Maui Wowi because it had the perfect fit for the type of people we are: outgoing, health conscious, and we love Hawaii,” says Kounas. “There is nothing better than opening a business that offers great coffee from Hawaii, healthy smoothies, and a place with a good vibe that allows you to relax while you enjoy amazing products.”

Kounas and Lovato join a team of other Maui Wowi franchisees in Southern California. The company focuses on building support systems and sense of community, often referring to its franchisees as members of the 'ohana or family. Kounas and Lovato are ready to begin building their business, and plan to start by opening a store location.

“This is just the beginning of what is going to be one of the best franchises in the Maui Wowi ‘ohana,” says Lovato. “Our outgoing, fun loving, hardworking personalities, and dedication to the franchise will bring new ideas to enhance all of the current and future owners.”
