McAlister's Deli, a leading fast casual restaurant, announced 2013 performance achievements for the brand including system sales, same store sales, new openings, and development commitments.

For the year, same-store sales increased 4.8 percent. Company-owned store sales performance was driven by a 3.7-percent increase in entree sales, indicating traffic gains. Total system sales in 2013 were $459 million with an average unit volume of $1.5 million for all traditional stores continuously open and operating during 2013.

Additionally, McAlister's announced the opening of 12 new restaurants in 2013 as well as the signing of 11 development agreements representing 63 future locations.
