Angus Third Pounders are made with 100-percent USDA-inspected Angus Beef, with red onions, sauteed mushrooms, iceberg lettuce and sliced red tomatoes, served on a bakery-style sesame seed roll. The hamburgers come in three varieties: Angus Deluxe, Angus Mushroom and Swiss, and Angus Bacon and Cheese, for a suggested retail price of $3.99 each.
"Our customer response to the Angus Third Pounders in Southern California restaurants has been overwhelmingly positive," said Ti Chang, McDonald's owner/operator and president of the McDonald's Operators' Association of Southern California (MOASC). "The Angus Third Pounders are a great addition to our menu, and it's great that other markets throughout the nation will be providing our guests with even more menu variety, choice and value."
The Angus Third Pounders were recently introduced in New York, and Central Ohio is scheduled to launch the hamburgers on August 27. In Southern California, the Angus Third Pounders are available at participating McDonald's restaurants in Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura counties.
