McDonald’s Inc. released the following statement regarding the potential sale of Boston Market:

“Earlier this year, we announced that we would look at exploring our options for Boston Market. This is consistent with our successful strategy to focus on brand McDonald’s, a strategy that continues to deliver results. We have now identified a buyer, Sun Capital Partners Inc., with plans to close on this transaction in the next few weeks.

While it would be inappropriate to discuss details of the purchase at this time, we will disclose more information once the transaction is completed.”
