McCafé unveiled an upcoming seasonal selection Thursday, including a new McCafé Cinnamon Cookie Latte—its first new holiday flavor in over five years—and the return of the chain’s popular McCafé Donut Sticks, with a twist: a new Chocolate Sauce made for dipping. Customers across the country can begin making mornings more festive with these sweet treats starting November 6. Both menu items will be available for a limited time throughout the holiday season.
“We were inspired by our customers’ excitement for the holidays when crafting our Cinnamon Cookie Latte, a new and limited-time flavor that evokes the warm, cheerful feelings of the season,” says McDonald’s Chef Mike Lingo. “Our latest beverage innovation combines the captivating aroma and flavor of cinnamon that evokes the holiday feeling in us all. We’re excited for our customers to get a taste.”
McCafé’s 2019 Special Seasonal Selection:
McCafé Cinnamon Cookie Latte: This seasonal beverage is made with the sweet taste of cinnamon, milk and freshly brewed 100 percent Rainforest Alliance Certified espresso. The McCafé Cinnamon Cookie Latte is topped off with a sprinkle of cinnamon for a creamy delight. The flavor is available all day long in hot or iced lattes throughout the holiday season. Customers can enjoy a small McCafé Cinnamon Cookie Latte for $2 on the $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu.
McCafé Donut Sticks with Chocolate Sauce: These treats are made fresh throughout the morning, prepared in McDonald’s restaurant kitchens until hot, crispy and golden brown for a light and airy texture—never microwaved. They’re sprinkled with cinnamon sugar for a crunchy outside and soft, doughy inside, and served warm to customers by the half-dozen or by the dozen during breakfast hours. The new Chocolate Sauce is a rich icing, which serves as the perfect complement to Donut Sticks.
“We’re giving customers more of the goodness they crave and pairing the return of Donut Sticks with a new decadent Chocolate Sauce. We always let our customers be the guide, and a dipping sauce was highly requested when they asked for an accompaniment to go with the popular cinnamon treat,” adds Lingo. “Our rich and delicious Chocolate Sauce is the perfect pairing for our Donut Sticks to sweeten up the holiday season.”
Customers will also be able to enjoy the McCafé Cinnamon Cookie Latte in the chain’s new bright, winter-themed McCafé holiday cups. The cheerful design features a fresh coat of glistening snow around the McCafé logo, a festive addition to our new golden McCafé cups. The seasonal cups are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified and available beginning in November throughout the holiday season, or while supplies last.
