Me-n-Ed’s Pizzeria, a Fresno-based fast casual pizzeria, opened a new twist on the beloved restaurant brand this month by opening Me-n-Ed’s On Tap. The Me-n-Ed’s location in Bakersfield, located at 3300 Buena Vista St. Suite C3, is the debut of the new restaurant design that includes a new self-pour tap system, including 26 taps of local craft beer and wine.
Me-n-Ed’s On Tap is the first location in Bakersfield with the company’s newly updated design. Along with the sleek self-pour tap wall, the location has a warm, contemporary vibe, while still maintaining the classic Me-n-Ed’s pizzeria feel and famous pizza.
The new restaurant design in Bakersfield is a result of Me-n-Ed’s continuous effort to stay ahead of customer desires, and gives the location an atmosphere focused on entertainment, social engagement and quality food and beverages.
While the self-pour system is new to the Bakersfield market, it’s an exciting component that Fresno-based Me-n-Ed’s, which is part of the multi-brand, Milano Restaurants International, has perfected in one of its locations in Fresno.
“The self-pour concept offers a new level of customization with a vibrant and social feel that customers love,” says John Ferdinandi, president and CEO of Milano Restaurants International.
“We wanted to replicate the feeling customers have when they have their own get-togethers at home, including amazing food, great music, and great conversation with friends. We are excited with the changes we have made and look forward to rolling out this new design into more Me-n-Ed’s locations across the region.”
On the heels of the new restaurant design, Me-n-Ed’s is looking to pursue locations in new markets such as Southern California, with the goal of opening two new locations each year. Me-n-Ed’s has 62 restaurants throughout California, both franchises and corporately-owned. The brand was founded in 1958.
Me-n-Ed’s On Tap is now open in Bakersfield. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for June 22.
