This year marks the 10th business anniversary for Meatheads, a Chicago-based fast-casual family restaurant. To celebrate, Meatheads is announcing an $8 meal option on its menu, which will consist of a burger, regular fries and a drink. This is the same menu price CEO/Founder Tom Jednorowicz used in his first location in downstate Illinois (Bloomington) a decade ago.
Jednorowicz has previously shied away from meal options, but is now adding one to the Meatheads’ menu both as a nod to 2007 and as a response to the recent increases in food industry costs that are currently being passed on to consumers.
“In an environment of escalating costs, we’re trying to offer lower prices for our customers,” says Jednorowicz. “It’s part of our ongoing effort to take care of customers and find new ways to provide value without increasing costs for them.”
Customers who typically purchase fries and a drink a la carte with burgers, will now be able to purchase the entire meal together at a lower price. The meal option will be available starting January 16 at all 17 Chicago and Northwest Indiana locations.
“Meatheads has been ingratiated in its communities for the past 10 years—sponsoring local sports teams and leagues, band and reading programs, etc. We know how competitive the fast casual industry is and we’re grateful for the decade of support from our loyal customers,” says Jednorowicz. “This new meal menu option is one way to show our appreciation.”
Founded in 2007, Meatheads now has 17 Chicagoland area locations: Barrington, Bloomington, Champaign, Elmhurst, Frankfort, Glen Ellyn, Lake Bluff, Lincolnwood, Munster, Naperville, Normal, Northbrook, Oak Lawn, Roscoe Village, Schaumburg, Schererville, and Willowbrook.
