Menchie’s today announced its partnership with The Shuler Yogurt Company to open five locations throughout Atlanta within the next two months, and a total of 12 locations by the end of the year.
The California-based Menchie’s has 40 locations open in 11 states, and is poised to total more than 70 locations throughout the country by September 2010. Menchie’s currently has two stores open in Atlanta. Additional locations will open in the next 60 days at Druid Hills, Buckhead, Cumming, and East Cobb, among others.
“The response we received from customers at our new stores has exceeded our expectations,” says Steve Shuler, president of Shuler Yogurt Company. “We are confident that opening more area stores will help Atlanta residents experience our self-serve, family-friendly experience and our variety of unique gourmet frozen yogurt choices.”
Amit Kleinberger, CEO of Menchie’s Group, Inc., says, “The success of Menchie’s in Atlanta has resulted in a growing demand for more locations and we are excited to continue offering our one-of-a-kind self-serve experience throughout the area.”
Menchie’s self-serve model puts the customers in control, allowing them to create exactly what they want. Menchie’s customers help themselves to an unlimited mix of yogurt and toppings at a convenient self-serve station with more than 100 rotating yogurt flavors from cake batter and pomegranate tart to chocolate and vanilla, and more than 60 rotating toppings including fresh fruits, granolas, nuts, and an assortment of brand-name candy and sauces. After crafting the perfect mix, the yogurt is weighed and paid for by the ounce.
Menchie’s uses the highest quality frozen yogurt, made exclusively through its own label and offers nonfat, low carb, non-dairy, kosher, gluten-free, and no sugar added soft-serve options, as well as innovative flavors that have never been seen in the market. Menchie’s frozen yogurt also contains live and active cultures (probiotics), receiving the Live and Active Culture (LAC) seal by the National Yogurt Association.
Menchie’s values community involvement and partners with local schools in fundraising activities and education incentive programs, donating thousands of dollars in cash and products annually.
