Mediterranean fast-casual favorite, MezzeMe Turkish Kitchen, opened its doors at 2530 Guadalupe St. on Monday, September 30. This is MezzeMe’s second location. MezzeMe Turkish Kitchen is Austin-owned by Mahmud Ugur, who immigrated from Turkey in 2000 to attend college in Austin and opened the first MezzeMe at The Triangle in 2017.

MezzeMe features a fast casual, build-your-own-bowl menu crafted around “mezzes”, traditionally served as an appetizer or mini-course in Turkey. Diners first select a base for their meal, choosing from house made pita, whole grain wrap, crazy grain, white rice, or greens. They then choose a protein including Beef & Lamb Doner, Chicken Shish Kabob, Kofte Meatballs, Slow-Cooked Lamb, Falafel, Lamb Adana Kebap, or Seasonal Roasted Vegetables.

MezzeMe’s selection of flavorful mezzes include hummus, spicy tabouli, roasted carrot yogurt, shakshuka, ezme, and zucchini, walnut & dill yogurt. Turkish dressings include Tzatziki, Spicy Harissa, Lemon Tahini, Mint Garlic Yogurt, and Olive Oil Balsamic Vinaigrette.

The restaurant also serves Turkish wine, beer, coffee, and tea, as well as Maine Root Sodas. Online ordering and catering options are available through their website.

MezzeMe is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Happy hour is served daily from 3-6 p.m., offering 1/2 off mezzes, draft beer and wine. Find MezzeMe’s two Austin-owned locations at The Triangle at 4700 Guadalupe St. Suite 9 and on The Drag at 2530 Guadalupe St.
