MGH Wins Best in Show for Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls Campaign

    MGH, a full-service marketing communications agency, announced it won the Best in Show award for its branding campaign for Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Baltimore. The win marks the sixth time in the last 11 years the Owings Mills-based agency secured the competition’s top prize.

    In total, MGH earned four Gold awards for creative excellence in advertising campaign work conducted on behalf of the Annapolis-based lobster chain, along with one Silver award for its work for Marble Slab Creamery. Gold awards will move on to the District II ADDYs competition, which features work from agencies throughout the region, including Washington, D.C. and New York.

    “Taking home a Best in Show honor six out of the last 11 years represents a level of consistency that we’re all incredibly proud to be part of,” says Dave Wassell, chief creative officer of MGH. “We’re thrilled to once again be recognized by the AAF Baltimore for the creative work and campaigns crafted and executed by our very talented staff.”

    The 2019 MGH ADDY Award winners are as follows:

    • Poster Campaign - Mason's Famous Poster Series (Gold)
    • Poster Single - Mason's Famous "Ocean" (Gold)
    • Poster Single - Mason's Famous "Mouth" (Gold)
    • Integrated Brand Identity Campaign - Local or Regional - Mason's Brand Campaign (Gold)
    • Social Media Campaign - Marble Slab Majestic Shakes (Silver)

    Prior to MGH’s latest achievement on behalf of Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, the agency took home Best in Show awards for its work with Smyth Jewelers (2008), Ocean City, Maryland (2009) and OLD BAY (2013, 2015, 2016). The ADDY Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 60,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions.
