The Year in Review
In 2017, Mici completed a Series A financing and brought on partner and CEO Elliot Schiffer. During the past eighteen months, in addition to streamlining operations and optimizing the menu, Schiffer has fast-tracked the brands growth and seen promising results:

  • Mici’s fifth location, in the underserved Denver suburb of Lafayette, opened in August of 2018. Weekly sales have grown 17 percent organically since opening and continue to rise.
  • This past year, Same Store Sales grew 4.5 percent, with Catering growth comprising 3 percent.
  • With Schiffer attached to the company, Mici was able to recruit industry veteran Krista Gibson to their newly installed Board of Directors. Gibson is a marketing & strategy C-level Executive with over 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Schiffer brought in industry leader Joe Melton as senior vice president of Operations in June of 2018. Melton has an impressive story of advancement and longevity within the Outback Steakhouse brand (Bloomin Brands, BLMN).
  • Negotiated rates and switched Mici to food distributor Shamrock Foods.
  • Put into test five Third Party Ordering Systems, integrated directly into the new Point of Sale, at the downtown Denver location of Mici.

Looking Forward
With steadfast goals of company growth, Schiffer is in the early stages of beginning the process of franchising the brand and is scouting real estate for company locations seven and eight.
