In 1953, Mickey Mance opened up a small deli and first location in the South Bay to sell pizza, little did he know what would later become of it. Sixty-five years and three generations later, Mickey’s has become a local legend and a cultural staple to the local community of Hermosa Beach. The modest, green, red and white building gives the community the sense of familiarity and ease knowing that they haven’t changed all that much since opening and continues to appease that nostalgia that the locals desire. The love that the community has shown to Mickey’s is reflective of a large fan base with a local celebrity. Always treating each and every customer as family the outcome has been nothing short of momentous. Since 1953, they have served nearly three generations of customers; staying loyal to the family-owned deli has made Mickeys what it is today and they hope to continue to grow with the community for as long as possible. With all the consistent support from the South Bay, Mickey’s would like to say thank you by giving back.

“With three generations of serving the South Bay community, everyone who comes into Mickey’s always has left as part of the family. We hope that we can continue to serve Hermosa Beach for the next 65 years to come,” said, Owner Paul Mance.

On Saturday, April 7th from 11am – 2pm, Mickey’s will be giving the first 65 people in line either a Mickey’s Combo, Sauce Sandwich or slice of pizza free (one item per person). Each customer after that will be able to purchase those three items for only $.65 cents, the Mickey’s Combo, Sauce Sandwich or a slice of pizza in honor of their 65th anniversary! They hope that everyone in the local community will come out to celebrate this memorable moment not only for Mickey’s but the Hermosa Beach community as well.
