Corona, California-based Miguel’s Jr. is opening a new restaurant location in the Woodcrest neighborhood of Riverside, California, at 17815 Van Buren Blvd.

The new restaurant, which is the fifteenth Miguel’s Jr. location to open since the brand was founded in 1975, officially opens with a public ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, August 18, following a 10-day training period and soft opening on August 9.

“The Inland Empire has played a big part in our brand’s story and is home to some of our biggest fans, so we’re constantly looking for areas throughout the I.E. where there is demand for a new Miguel’s Jr. location,” says Steve Rezner, Miguel’s Jr. director of marketing. “We’re excited to expand with the new Woodcrest location and serve our traditional home-style recipes to local residents in this area of Riverside County.”

In addition to being the first to dine at the new restaurant, visitors to the Woodcrest location’s opening day event on August 18 can meet the Vasquez family and learn more about Miguel’s Jr.’s story and what makes the brand unique among Mexican restaurants.

Since 1975, Miguel’s Jr. has served traditional Mexican cuisine based on family recipes developed by founder Mary Vasquez. Over the past 40 years, the family-owned restaurant chain has grown from a single location in central Corona to 15 locations throughout the Inland Empire and Orange County.
