Miguel’s Jr. announced a new restaurant in Lake Elsinore, California opening doors in March 2021. The homestyle California-Mexican cuisine destination, located in the Elsinore Central Marketplace at Collier Avenue and Central Avenue, offers the convenience of a drive-thru as well as counter service in a 2,400 sq. ft. intimate dining room in recent response to less dine-in demand.
“Opening a restaurant in Lake Elsinore has been a goal for Miguel’s Jr. for years,” said Javier Vasquez, president and CEO of Miguel’s Restaurant. “We’re thrilled to unveil our new location and share my mother Mary’s delicious family recipes with the welcoming Lake Elsinore community.”
Out of the gate, the brand’s 21st restaurant location offers a full menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner, quick and easy online ordering, third-party delivery options and online gift cards for purchase and redemption. With guests on the go in mind, the restaurant has optimized the drive-thru experience with Miguel’s Jr. team members available with tablets in hand to keep orders moving quickly, plus convenient parking spaces for guests who need to wait for large orders or items that take longer. The Lake Elsinore location also features designated parking for online order pickup and third party delivery for maximum accessibility.
To celebrate the new neighborhood, Miguel’s Jr. commissioned two original murals by local Southern California artist, Dave Avanzino. Located on the restaurant’s exterior, the public art installations feature the Elsinore Mountains and the city’s namesake, Lake Elsinore, the largest freshwater lake in Southern California. The artwork is visible for all to enjoy, including from the drive-thru as guests approach and pick-up their Miguel’s Jr. favorites.
Longtime Miguel’s Jr. employee, Juan Carlos Villagran, will oversee the new restaurant as General Manager. Villagran began his career at Miguel’s Jr. in 2010 as a Kitchen Manager at the Murrieta restaurant. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue growing within Miguel’s Jr.,” says Villagran. “I look forward to training a team of future leaders at the Lake Elsinore restaurant while sharing our hospitality and cuisine with the local community.”
Miguel’s Jr. features a full menu of homestyle Mexican dishes that are made using only premium ingredients including fresh avocados, all natural and hormone free poultry, pasture raised, corn fed beef, 100% stone ground tortillas and tortilla chips, as well as their famous fresh-made Miguel’s Original Hot Sauce.
