Mark Slusz, controller for Kona Grill, a national restaurant concept featuring flavorful new American cuisine and award-winning sushi with 23 restaurants in 16 states, needed to get beyond inflexible predefined POS-based information reports. He wanted to “slice and dice the data” to pinpoint key areas and transmit that information to groups he and his team could define and select themselves. Mirus provided the solution.

“Mirus lets you quickly build ad hoc reports that highlight the information you want, and allows you to set up your own distribution groups. Now we can highlight the information we need and get it in front of the proper groups.” Within 90 days of implementation, Kona’s management team has been able to spot key information and act on it. Mark and the company are now looking forward to the next stage, when they will turn “the Mirus Solution” to data sources beyond POS.

Dave Bennett, Mirus CEO, considers Mirus ideally suited to serve restaurant chains like Kona spread over a wide area.

“Chains like Kona can move quickly if they can spot problems and opportunities and communicate the information widely and quickly. Our software lets our customers target and analyze information, and distribute solutions precisely and quickly," Bennett says. "No matter what the size of our customer, we provide the tools to access information, and distribute it to promote fast action.”
