MOD Pizza announced the brand donated $20,074.36 to local food banks, meal programs, and shelters in Washington, Oregon, and California. The “Spreading MODness” campaign coincided with MOD’s 5th birthday and ran from November 26 through December 1, 2013. During this time, MOD donated $1 from every pizza sold at each of their 14 locations. In addition, many customers chose to make individual donations to help support local charities.

“We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the customers who joined us in ‘Spreading MODness’. Not only was this campaign a way to thank our communities, but it was an opportunity to support the amazing organizations that are important to each of our stores. ‘Spreading MODness’ is about building bridges for our employees and the local communities they serve. Giving back is a core value at MOD, and this is just the beginning of our larger vision,” says Scott Svenson, cofounder and CEO of MOD Pizza.

The following food banks and shelters are the beneficiaries of “Spreading MODness”:

In Washington state, MOD donated to the Chicken Soup Brigade/Lifelong Aids Alliance, Roots Young Adult Shelter, Operation Sack Lunch, Treehouse, Redmond Hopelink, Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank, Lynnwood Food Bank, Puyallup Food Bank, FISH Food Banks of Pierce County, and One Life. In Oregon, the brand donated fund to the Oregon Food Bank, and in California, proceeds went to the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry.
