MOD Pizza, the Seattle-based company that launched the rapidly growing fast-casual pizza segment, announced its continued expansion in the Philadelphia market, with the opening of its second store in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Located at 322 West Lancaster Avenue, the store will open on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at noon. This will be the 57th MOD location in the U.S., the fourth in Pennsylvania, and the second in Wayne. The company expects to be operating 100 stores by the end of 2015.

As a purpose-led organization, MOD will continue its efforts to put people first and “Spread MODness” by donating 100 percent of all pizza sales from opening day to Wayne charity Bringing Hope Home, to support local families with cancer through financial and emotional support.

“We are thrilled to continue to build our presence in Wayne and to add another 30 incredible individuals to our local MOD Squad,” says Scott Svenson, cofounder and CEO of MOD. “More than anything, we are committed to making a positive impact with as many people as possible, beginning with our employees, and continuing with Bringing Hope Home, who are providing inspiration every day within the community.” Since 2008, MOD has proudly supported over 50 community-based charitable organizations, a number which will continue to grow with every new MOD opening.

The first 52 guests on opening day will each enjoy a free individual, artisan-style pizza or hand-tossed salad, and the chance to win free pizza for a year. Additional giveaways and tastings will continue throughout the day. The newest MOD Wayne location will be 2,400 square feet with an outdoor patio, huge gas-fired display oven and MOD’s signature locally inspired interiors.

MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, using fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces. Customers can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of more than 30 featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Pizzas and salads are the same price regardless of the number of toppings. Pizzas are hand-cooked in an 800-degree oven in less than three minutes and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD also serves handspun milkshakes along with house-made lemonades and iced teas.

MOD currently operates stores in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Illinois, Michigan, and Pennsylvania and will be opening in Idaho, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina by the end of 2015.
