Modmarket, a growing fast-casual restaurant company offering healthy menu options at six Denver area locations, announced its plan to open a new location at Denver International Airport (DIA).

Modmarket DIA, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014, will be located in the Concourse B Food Court, home to the United/Continental Airlines hub. The DIA location will be operated through a partnership with Tastes on the Fly, a national airport restaurant operator. Tastes on the Fly operates 12 restaurants in airports throughout the country, including those in San Francisco International Airport, Boston Logan International Airport, and John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.

Modmarket DIA will be open daily, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Modmarket offers farm-fresh food. Using simple ingredients sourced from regional and local suppliers, dishes are made in open kitchens. Modmarket’s seasonal menu brings food to diners for under $10 in less than 10 minutes. In addition, Modmarket’s recipes cater to many dietary preferences as well as the mainstream population.

“This is a very exciting step not only for our company but also for travelers at DIA. Everyone knows it is virtually impossible to find healthy food in airports. This partnership pairs Modmarket’s healthy and tasty food with Tastes on the Fly’s airport operational expertise to deliver travelers nutritious and satisfying options before their flights,” says Anthony Pigliacampo, Modmarket co-founder.

“We are excited to join other local Denver-area companies at DIA, such as Root Down and Udi’s, to promote the fact that part of Colorado’s healthy lifestyle is a commitment to sustainable dining, even when traveling,” Pigliacampo says.
