Muscle Maker Grill announced that the brand has added Jeff Carl, a seasoned industry veteran to its board of directors.

Jeff Carl is currently the Managing Partner of Restaurant Brandworks based in San Francisco. Jeff also serves as Executive Director at Nice and Company, a San Francisco based advertising agency. Clientele include PE firms looking to acquire concepts as well as established restaurant companies looking to develop new strategies for profitable growth, particularly menu-driven strategies. Jeff has earned a reputation for bringing “start-up thinking” to established restaurant concepts.

“I’m excited to be part of Muscle Maker Grill with its unique, health-minded brand proposition,” Carl says.

Carl’s past experience includes working with heavy hitter brands such as Burger King, where he was tasked with improving underperforming international markets and McDonalds, where he served in numerous capacities, most recently as corporate vice president, Global Marketing, and chief brand officer for Latin America. Carl was part of the global team and was tasked to develop and execute the successful turnaround initiative known as the “Plan to Win” along with the “I’m Lovin’ It” campaign. After leaving McDonald’s, Jeff crafted the re-franchising road map for Jamba Juice, accelerated Freebirds World Burrito’s expansion and helped the Tavistock Restaurant Group acquire numerous concepts.

“We’re happy to have Jeff join our diverse lineup of board members” says Michael Roper, Chief Executive Officer of Muscle Maker Grill. “He brings a great deal of well-rounded experience to the brand, specifically in the marketing, menu innovation and branding segments. His past leadership roles make him an excellent addition to our board. We look forward to his strategic guidance as we develop and grow the Muscle Maker Grill brand in new and existing markets.”
