MUTTS Canine Cantina, VCA Charities and Enchanted Rock Vodka are joining paws to assist the animals from the greater Houston area who are displaced and separated from their owners. In effort to save these animals and/or ultimately reunite them with their human parents, there will be a fundraiser on Saturday, September 16 from noon to 4 p.m. held at MUTTS Canine Cantina.

Patrons are encouraged to bring their dogs and enjoy a TEXAS STRONG cocktail featuring Enchanted Rock Vodka. Cocktails are $10 and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to VCA Charities benefitting Hurricane Animal Relief. Each patron buying the specialty drink will also receive a tennis ball that their furry friends can have signed by their parents and place in a template replicating the Lone Star State. Once filled with the balls, the Texas plaque will be mounted and proudly exhibited at the cantina, emblematic of the theme echoed throughout the Houston area: TEXAS STRONG.

All proceeds will go to a larger coalition brought together by VCA’s extensive partner network that will go directly towards securing, medically treating, transporting, feeding, and housing animals that have been affected by the catastrophic Hurricane Harvey. VCA Charities has announced that 100 percent of the funds raised during the month of September will go toward Hurricane Harvey relief for the animals.

Bandon Antin, VP of Social Responsibility & Innovation says, “We believe that the human-animal bond is important and our VCA staff, clients, community members, and donors are all working together ensure that every animal receives the help they deserve after Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Through the VCA Charities Pennies for Pets program, 100 percent of all donations received between August 29 and September 30 will go directly to the animal relief efforts throughout the affected areas because our four legged friends need our help.”

“My partners Kyle Noonan, Josh Sepkowitz and their operations team at Free Range Concepts, creators of Bowl & Barrel, THE RUSTIC and MUTTS Canine Cantina, have joined together to develop a program to help our furry friends at a time when they, and their human parents face a tragedy of epic proportions,” says MUTTS Canine Cantina Managing Partner, Michelle Boggs.  “I am so grateful for the assistance of the companies who are engaged in this effort.  We all want to collectively do our part to make a difference.”
