In honor of Mother’s Day, Nando’s PERi-PERi will offer half-price Sangria at all Nando’s 42 U.S. restaurants on Sunday, May 12.

Skip the usual mad rush to get a Mother’s Day reservation and pick up a half-price glass or pitcher of Sangria (along with some tasty PERi-PERi chicken) at Nando’s instead. The promotion lasts from opening at 11am to closing on Sunday, May 12, at Nando’s in Chicago, Washington, Baltimore, Annapolis and all other locations.

Nando’s will be pouring its original fresh and fruity Red Wine Sangria, and at select restaurants its Rosé Sangria—house-made with slices of peaches and mango and a splash of Schnapps. For Mother’s Day only, Sangria will be half the regular price of $5.99 per glass, and $16.99 per pitcher.

PERi-PERi, or African Bird’s Eye Chilli, is the heart and soul of the Nando’s experience. The South African restaurant known worldwide for its spicy flame-grilled chicken, Nando’s has built an intensely loyal following by providing fresh food in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly service. Nando’s marinates its chicken in PERi-PERi for at least 24 hours, so the flavor goes right through to the bone. Then they grill it over an open flame and baste it with PERi-PERi sauce to each customer’s preferred spice.

The first Nando’s restaurant opened its doors in 1987 in South Africa. Since then, the Nando’s flame has spread to 24 countries on five continents.
