Nassau Candy, the leading manufacturer, importer, and distributor of specialty confections and fine foods, announces its market-wide reintroduction of favorite soda varieties from the early- and mid-1900s.
The launch portfolio includes beloved standards such as Dad’s Root Beer, Pop Shoppe, Jackson Hole Soda, Johnnie Ryan Cane Sugar Soda, Mexicana Cola, and Nesbitt’s of California, Moxie, Jelly Belly, Goose Island, and Bundaberg, and will grow to include additional favorites to meet anticipated market demands.
Impact of the brands is expected to be significant at grocery, gourmet, and specialty markets, as well as confectionery stores complimenting increasingly popular nostalgic candy offerings. Classic packaging in glass bottles with colorful ceramic labels draws consumer attention, appeals to gift shoppers, and drives sales and repeat business through consumer recognition and loyalty.
“We’re excited to bring these cherished brands back to the specialty market,” says Alan Zwerin, VP of Gourmet Food Sales at Nassau Candy. “The combination of rich flavors, quality ingredients, and old-fashioned glass really takes you back to the ‘good old days.’”
Even the flavors temptingly hearken to days gone by: creamy root beer, huckleberry, orange cream, sarsaparilla, rhubarb, agave, peach, and strawberry are among the varieties consumers will enjoy. Butch Hurley, sales manager, California for Nassau Candy agrees.
“Our roots as a company date back to the early 1920s, so it’s fitting that Nassau Candy distribute these fine brands reminiscent of the time. Plus, these products reflect our commitment to the quality we’ve built our business upon for almost 100 years now,” says Hurley.
