Chick N Max opened a new location today in Wichita’s fast-growing North Maize Road retail corridor. This is the third restaurant for the fledgling concept that launched just a year ago at Central & Hillside. The second location opened a few months later at 21st & Greenwich.

“Opening our first three restaurants and developing the retail line of sauces and seasonings during our first year really is quite a testament to the team,” says Max Sheets, president and CEO. “We have a couple more retail items in production to be released later this year and are close to completion on our commissary kitchen. We want the food to be made fresh locally and we know consistency is the key to long-term success.”

Located at 3520 N. Maize Road, the location opening today is the first for the concept with a drive-thru. The menu is a balance between hand-breaded chicken tenders and slow-smoked chicken with both varieties offered in a sandwich or meal and always accompanied by house-made sides with southern flare. Max Snax, bite-size pieces of all white chicken, and hand-breaded wings round out the offerings and are complimented by Max Sauce or a variety of other sauces at increasing heat levels.

“We are working hard and moving fast, our first year has brought about so much growth and evolution for Chick N Max. We’re restaurant people and we’ve loved the food business for decades, but there is always new information to absorb and adjustments to make with any new concept,” comments Sheets.  “We are always listening and fine-tuning for future growth.”
