K2 Restaurants announces Pops Burgers & Shakes, a fast-casual burger concept ready to satisfy the taste buds of burger enthusiasts on the westside of Los Angeles. The newest-addition to the K2 Restaurant portfolio debuts as the latest installation inside SocialEats, the chef-driven dining collective located on the first level of The Gallery Food Hall at 1315 Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica, California, 90401. Store hours are 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday-Sunday.
The development of Pop’s spins off on the heels of success from K2 Restaurants’ wildly popular Your Burger at Paperboy including Niman Ranch Beef, American Cheese, Bordelaise, Caramelized Onions, Pickles, and House Spicy Mayo., Pop’s will join the lineup at SocialEats featuring simple yet refined custom burgers, shakes, sides, and booze. The grand opening takes place all day on Saturday, March 14 where the first 100 guests who follow @eatpopsburgers on Instagram will receive a free order of onion rings with their purchase. Guests can also enjoy double points when they sign up for the K2 Loyalty Program on this day. To honor service men and women in the military, veterans receive 50 percent off and all active duty members receive a free meal valid only when they show identification at Pop’s.
“SocialEats was partly designed to serve as an incubator to test new menu items and restaurant concepts, with the flexibility to create spin-off brands that resonate with today’s diners,” said John Kolaski, CEO and curator of K2 Restaurants. “When we introduced ‘Your Burger’ at Paperboy as an LTO item, we realized we had something special due to the outpouring of positive feedback. Naturally, we felt the timing was right to give the burger a permanent home at SocialEats.”
At Pop’s, guests can choose from two burger patties, Creekstone Farms Beef or Impossible. All patties are dusted with House Blend Seasoning, red wine sauce and grass-fed butter and served with special sauce, pickles, caramelized onions, and American cheese. Pick a Single, a Double, or the new “Quad”, priced at $15, Pop’s signature burger stacked with four patties of choice. Each burger can be customized with add-ons like Over Easy Egg, Bacon, and Seasonal Specials in either a bun or lettuce wrap. Pop’s menu also boasts an all-vegan burger option with a 100 percent vegan build on the Impossible patty, using vegan aioli, vegan American cheese, and vegan butter. Guests also have the choice of sides like onion rings, fries, and chopped iceberg salad.
Never one to forget dessert and beverages, Pop’s menu includes Vanilla and Chocolate ice cream shakes both regular or made with Vegan Oat Milk, and the option to make it boozy. All shakes are served in 16-ounce cups and topped with regular or coconut whip. A variety of craft beer and Bourbon served with Mexican Coke or Sprite are also available.
