The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf announced that John Ramsay, a franchise industry expert with experience in developing strong, growth-oriented brands, was appointed as company’s new senior director of business development. In his new role, Ramsay will be responsible for identifying area developers in major metropolitan markets, and working with them to grow The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brand through large, multiunit area development agreements.

“John Ramsay brings the industry experience, customer service focus, and successful track record that we look for at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf,” says Mel Elias, chief operating officer of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. “There’s no doubt that he shares the vision and philosophy that has allowed our company to thrive for more than four decades.”

Prior to joining The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf team, Ramsay led franchise sales and new market development for a variety of food and beverage brands including: Togo’s Eateries Inc.; Jack in the Box Inc.; Rubio’s Restaurants Inc.; Long John Silver’s Inc.; and Sbarro Inc.
