R Taco, a fast-casual street taco chain backed by Buffalo Wild Wings, announced the addition of a new franchise group who will look to bring the restaurant to New Mexico. JJ&D Enterprises signed an initial agreement to build four locations in Albuquerque and Las Cruces, New Mexico over the next four years.

“I stumbled upon R Taco when visiting Dallas four years ago. Since then I’ve made it a point to dine there on every visit,” says Justin Hall, owner, JJ&D Enterprises. “It was during a visit to Denver that I realized R Taco was a franchise and knew immediately I had to bring this amazing concept to Albuquerque, New Mexico. My partners and I couldn’t be more excited to make this dream a reality.”

JJ&D Enterprises is operated by three owners Hall, Jason Bowles and Dylan Kennedy. The three have numerous years of combined operations experience across multiple industries including restaurants and hospitality.

“We are thrilled to welcome Justin, Jason and Dylan to our growing franchise family as we continue to bring R Taco to new markets,” says Tom Berzinski, vice president, managing director, R Taco.

Launched in Dallas in 2010 as Rusty Taco and named for co-founder Rusty Fenton, the company shortened its name in 2015 to R Taco to provide broader appeal as the concept continues to expand beyond its Dallas roots. Restaurants have a welcoming atmosphere with quirky décor, bold colors, an open ceiling and open kitchen, with natural and industrial lighting. Service is provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
