Denver-based restaurant group Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill today announced the grand opening of its latest location in the Broadmoor area of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Broadmoor location is opening Friday, June 25, and it is the first Garbanzo restaurant to open outside the Denver-metro area.

The Broadmoor store is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. This is the ninth Garbanzo to open in Colorado, joining Denver-metro locations in Highlands, Greenwood Village, Denver, Aurora, Littleton, Park Meadows, Highlands Ranch, and Glendale.

Garbanzo is holding a charity night Thursday, June 24, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Broadmoor store to raise funds for The Home Front Cares (www.thehomefrontcares.org). The nonprofit is located in Colorado Springs and is committed to providing support for military families impacted by deployment.

“We are thrilled to bring our concept of genuine Mediterranean cuisine made from family recipes and only the freshest ingredients to a brand new market,” says Alon Mor, Garbanzo’s founder. “Expanding into Colorado Springs, a beautiful geographic center known by many as a military, Olympian and residential hub, enables us to connect with an entirely new community and bring them authentic Mediterranean-style dishes.

“And it’s that community connection that is prompting us to hold a fundraiser for The Home Front Cares,” Mor says. “We are committed to supporting the communities in which our stores reside. Helping provide assistance to area military families, which make up a prominent segment of the community, is a key objective of ours and one we are proud to implement.”

On the Broadmoor store’s opening day, Garbanzo guests can participate in several activities and giveaway opportunities. Some of these include:
