The KFC Snacker made its national debut in March of 2005 and combines KFC’s signature, premium breast meat Extra Crispy(TM) chicken strip, lettuce and pepper mayo on a sesame seed bun.
“The KFC Snacker is a huge hit with consumers because it satisfies their need for a high-quality, affordable, portable chicken sandwich,” Scott Bergren, executive vice president of marketing for KFC Corp., said in a press release. “The KFC Snacker is an example of how KFC is becoming more relevant to today’s consumers. We are appealing to individuals as well as families with products that are in tune with their lifestyle needs.”
KFC is on a roll in more than one way. The company has delivered ten straight periods of positive same-store sales by focusing on its core customers and building new sales layers for both individual and family occasions. KFC has also introduced new advertising and created a restaurant of the future that takes the Southern-inspired heritage and equity of the brand and evolves it in a contemporary way.
The new concept store currently being tested in Louisville and other select locations includes a host of new things for consumers: a new look for Colonel Sanders; high-impact graphics that proudly display Kentucky Fried Chicken; a Southern-inspired menu and contemporary apparel for team members and managers.
