Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint announced a franchise development agreement with successful entrepreneur and Golden Corral restaurant owner, John Verderame, to open three locations in South Florida. Verderame is part of explosive growth for the fast-casual pizza brand, which has opened 18 locations in less than three years and has an additional 150 units in development.

Verderame will initially open locations in Palm Beach and Broward County, the first Uncle Maddio’s in the area.

“After visiting Uncle Maddio Pizza Joint locations in Tallahassee, Florida, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this dynamic company,” Verderame says. “A successful restaurant is always about the employee-customer interaction. The Uncle Maddio’s team has a passion that breeds happy, loyal customers.”

Verderame owns one Golden Corral location in South Florida, which has risen in status to the restaurant chain’s “Elite 20” due to its rapid increase in year-over-year sales. The successful restaurant operator has the option to expand his development agreement with Uncle Maddio’s throughout South Florida.

Uncle Maddio’s was recently named “One to Watch” by QSR. Founder Matt Andrew, who also cofounded Moe’s Southwest Grill, credits the popularity of Uncle Maddio’s pizza for its success attracting franchisees, along with an executive management team with more than 50 years of experience in the restaurant industry.

“We look forward to bringing Uncle Maddio’s pizza to South Florida, and we know we have the right partner in John,” Andrew says. “Our motto, ‘served with love,’ is not just a saying. We truly appreciate every partner, team member, and guest and strive to serve them well, with thoughtful support to our franchise partners, and healthy or indulgent pizzas to our customers.”

Uncle Maddio’s offers a made-from-scratch 9-inch individual pizza with up to three toppings, baked in six minutes, for $6.99.
