Since Newk’s Eatery first introduced its flash-seared Ahi Tuna Salad last year, the move created a defining ‘Ahi! Moment’ both for guests who savor the Asian-inspired dish and for the second-generation fast-casual restaurant brand known for its freshness and bold flavor. Quickly earning a place among Newk's permanent bestsellers, the Ahi Tuna Salad will be joined this month by its dill and arugula-topped Ahi Tuna Sandwich counterpart starting February 15, just in time for the Lent season. Newk’s Shrimp & Avocado Salad, along with the brand’s new crawfish-centric winter menu lineup, offer Lenten diners an even greater range of sensational seafood dining this season. The Ahi Tuna Sandwich will be available until May 8.
“Like everything else on Newk’s menu, we serve our seafood fresh, not fried. Our sushi-grade Ahi tuna is lightly seared, and our shrimp is expertly seasoned and broiled to order,” says CMO Alan Wright. “At a time of year when quick and easy meatless options tend toward the uninspired, Newk’s is intentional about delivering creative options that are both healthy and culinary.”
Newk’s Ahi Tuna Sandwich features layers of tender Ahi Tuna steak seared medium rare, served on toasted French bread, topped with baby arugula and finished with a tangy dill sauce that is made in-house. Guests are also getting their ‘craw-fix’ this winter with the new Crawfish Pizza, Crawfish Mac and Cheese, and Crawfish Pimiento Mac and Cheese—each loaded with tender, hot baked crawfish bites—along with the limited-time return of the Red Quinoa and Kale Salad.
Guests can enjoy the Ahi Tuna Salad for $12.99, the Ahi Tuna Sandwich for $9.99, and the Shrimp & Avocado Salad for $10.99.
