NexCen Brands Breaking In To South America

NexCen Brands Inc. announced the signing of a master franchise agreement with Demaso S.A. for the development of a minimum of 15 Great American Cookies franchised stores in Chile over a 10-year term. “We are excited about our initial entry into the South American market with one of our [quick-serve] brands,” says Kenneth J. Hall, CEO of NexCen Brands Inc. “The expansion of Great American Cookies into Chile continues our strategy to extend the global footprint of NexCen Brands. With Chile, our franchised brands have entered 20 new countries in the last two years.”

“We believe this master franchise agreement underscores our commitment to partnering with proven, quality operators,” says Chris Dull, president of NexCen Franchise Management Inc., the franchising subsidiary of NexCen Brands. “Demaso S.A. is part of a family business that has had a stellar reputation in Chile for more than 100 years, and we look forward to working with them to grow Great American Cookies in Chile.”
