The National Food Service Security Council (NFSSC) is pleased to announce that Charlie Strong, U.S. senior vice president, President McOpCo, McDonald’s USA, will serve as a keynote at its 33rd Annual Conference, August 5-8, in Baltimore.
NFSSC is the leading trade association for loss prevention, risk management, and security professionals in the casual dining and quick-service restaurant chain industry.
“We are pleased to be able to feature an executive with the background and achievements of someone like Charlie Strong,” says Jim Forlenza, executive director, NFSSC. “Mr. Strong’s experiences will bring a unique perspective to our membership. His background is a true American story–someone whose hard work has taken him from a simple crew member to a leading executive at one of America’s largest institutions.”
Strong has more than 40 years of restaurant experience. Among his many accomplishments include being rewarded with the President’s award, the Diversity award, and the People’s award for his commitment to the development of minorities within the company.
As President of McOpCo, Strong is responsible for all of the 1600+ company-owned McDonald’s restaurants.
NFSSC will host its 33rd Annual Conference, August 5-18, 2012, at the Baltimore Hyatt Inner Harbor, in Baltimore. In addition to the keynote presenters, the event features educational sessions and programs, roundtables, exhibits, scheduled practitioner/vendor meetings, and a host of entertaining networking functions.
Topics will range from social media and mobile commerce to exception based reporting and interviewing techniques. The education program will bring speakers from the restaurant and foodservice industry, presenting real-world topics and best practices, offering a host of solutions and insights for everyday situations. NFSSC will be announcing other major industry speakers over the next several months.
