Nick Filet, the first-ever filet mignon sandwich restaurant, announced today the grand opening of its first franchise location in Wayne, Pennsylvania, is set for Friday, December 18 with a ribbon cutting ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m. Owned by Brandon Howell, the franchise is located at 313 E. Lancaster Avenue in the Wayne Square Shopping Center.
Nick Filet will give free 1/4 lb. filet mignon sandwiches to the first 25 customers in line at the Wayne location on December 18. For the rest of the weekend, customers can enjoy a 15 percent discount on their orders. There will also be a special offer for the first 100 Villanova, Cabrini, Eastern, or Rosemont students with ID: a free 1/4 lb. filet mignon sandwich purchased personally by co-founder Nick Kline.
Nick Filet is a fast-casual restaurant specializing in affordable, steakhouse quality meals for lunch and dinner. Known for its $8.99 cooked-to-order filet mignon sandwich on a toasted Amoroso Kaiser roll, the concept offers a high-end alternative to burger joints and cheesesteak shops. Nick Filet’s tender filet mignon sandwiches can be built to order with melted cheese and free toppings, including steak sauce, horseradish, mushrooms, and onions.
The 2,000-square-foot store will be open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature indoor seating (at 50 percent capacity per COVID-19 restrictions), takeout, delivery through DoorDash and Grubhub, and catering.
A 2016 Radnor High School graduate, franchisee Brandon Howell is excited to prove his skills as owner and operator, a goal he’s been working towards since he joined the Nick Filet team in October of 2018. “It’s been incredible getting to learn the business first-hand from co-founders Nick and Keith Kline,” says Howell. “Over the past two years, I’ve helped develop operations that I’ll now put into place at this Wayne location. I couldn’t be happier to share what I believe be the best filet sandwich with my Main Line community.”
