According to the National Restaurant Association’s 2008 Industry Forecast, announced Wednesday, 30 percent of quick-serve operators identified “more food choices” as the No. 1 emerging trend for next year.

Following food choices was “healthy alternatives” garnering 19 percent and “more value for the price” with 17 percent. The fourth ranking trend, “more beverage choices,” earned 14 percent.

“Improved food quality,” “more technology,” and “improved customer services” rounded out the list respectively.
