The National Restaurant Association has named Brendan Flanagan Vice President of State Restaurant Association Relations. In his new role, Flanagan will lead and manage enterprise-wide relations with the State Restaurant Associations (SRAs). He previously oversaw the Association’s state and local legislative affairs.

“Brendan’s extensive experience with NRA‘s state and local initiatives makes him the perfect fit to lead our State Restaurant Association Relations team,” says Rob Gifford, executive vice president of strategic operations and philanthropy. “His broad knowledge of the industry and strong ties with SRA leaders will help strengthen NRA and SRA outreach as we continue to advocate on behalf of the restaurant industry nationwide.”

As VP of State Restaurant Association Relations, Flanagan will serve as the primary contact for all enterprise-wide interactions with SRAs, work closely with state restaurant association executives on statewide policy matters, and drive the integration and coordination of all NRA-SRA activities.

In addition to previously overseeing state and local legislative affairs, Flanagan also served as Vice President of Federal Relations and also previously served as lobbyist for the Restaurant Association of Maryland.

Flanagan holds a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.
