Restaurant executives agree that innovation is the key to success. As traditional revenue streams become increasingly challenging, savvy restaurant operators are finding new ways to expand their brands and services.

Titled “Blazing New Revenue Streams,” the Restaurant Executive Breakfast at the 2010 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show will feature some of the industry’s most successful revenue innovators from Jamba Juice Company, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and Streetza Pizza on Saturday, May 22, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

“Sales diversification is not a new business strategy, but it has become more important than ever during these challenging economic times,” says Ira Cohn, Convention Chair for NRA Show 2010 and President of ARAMARK Business and Industry Group. “Finding new ways to engage guests outside of the dining room can be a great boost to revenues. From cooking classes, to mobile foodservice, to retail licensing, our Restaurant Executive Breakfast panelists will share how they succeeded in non-traditional sales territory.”

Open exclusively to multi-unit executives attending NRA Show 2010, the Restaurant Executive Breakfast will be moderated by Peter Romeo, blogger-in-chief, RestaurantRealityCheck.com. Panelists include Susan Shields, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Jamba Juice Company; Scott Baitinger, operator & co-owner, Streetza Pizza, an award-winning pizza truck based in Milwaukee; and John Inserra, senior vice president of restaurant operations, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.

The Restaurant Executive Breakfast will be held 8:30–10 a.m. on May 22, in room N427 McCormick Place. News media interested in attending should RSVP to dhull@restaurant.org.
