Mamoun’s Falafel announced a six-unit franchise deal for the Atlanta and Athens, Georgia markets. This is Mamoun’s first location in Georgia and real estate options are currently being explored in both markets.

Mamoun’s Falafel was founded by Mamoun Chater, a Syrian immigrant who turned authentic family recipes into mouthwatering Middle Eastern dishes. For over 45 years, Mamoun’s Falafel has been serving high quality Middle Eastern cuisine. With its original, 200-square-foot flagship location still operating in the heart of Greenwich Village, Mamoun’s Falafel is the oldest falafel restaurant in New York City and one of the first Middle Eastern establishments in the United States. The brand is iconic with New York City residents and tourists and has been praised by famous actors, comedians, musicians and other celebrities. Now operated by Mamoun’s sons, the restaurant is franchising nationwide.

The new franchisees, Kalki Patel and Parimal Patal, have been customers of Mamoun’s and were impressed by the quality of authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. “We’re very excited to bring Mamoun’s to Atlanta, there is no place like it. Mamoun’s serves real Middle Eastern food and that’s something we’re missing in Atlanta right now. We’re looking forward to getting our first location open and introducing Atlanta to this great restaurant,” they said.

Mamoun’s uses a commissary and rigorous production systems to ensure high quality and consistent product at every location. They have partnered with Cuisine Solutions, a worldwide leader in the sous-vide cooking method, to ensure the same delicious menu items can be duplicated all over the world.

Fransmart serves as Mamoun’s exclusive franchise development partner and is the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
