John Schiavo, president and
CEO of Otis Spunkmeyer, Inc., announced the contribution of $50,
000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (NBCF), a
nonprofit organization whose mission is to save lives by
increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by
providing mammograms for those in need.

Schiavo presented the check to NBCF president and CEO Janelle
Hail and executor director Neal Hail at Otis Spunkmeyer, Inc.
World Headquarters on Jan. 16. The headquarter event also
included remarks by Otis employees Ann Kishimori and Catherine
Turpeinen, breast cancer survivors, followed by a pink-themed
reception.

“Having visited Otis Spunkmeyer headquarters, I know this is a
company that cares for the health and well-being of its employees
and reaches beyond the company to help underserved women,” said
Janelle Hail. “Through Otis Spunkmeyer’s assistance, NBCF has
extended its outreach to women who desperately need mammograms
but cannot afford them. We thank Otis Spunkmeyer for its
generosity in helping others.”

The donation was made in conjunction with Otis Spunkmeyer’s “Pink
Looks Good on You” promotion, which ran September 1-Octpber 31, 2007,
through National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During the
promotion, operators could purchase the new Pink Cookie, a
chocolate cookie made with pink candy-coated chocolate pieces,
and request free promotional materials to drive cookie sales and
show support for breast cancer awareness.

“Every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer–it
affects each and every one of us; if not personally, then through
our mothers, sisters, friends, and coworkers,” said Schiavo. “At
Otis Spunkmeyer we are proud to support the fight against breast
cancer through the “Pink Looks Good on You” promotion and our
partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Together
we are saving lives through increased awareness and free
mammograms. It is a relationship that we hope to continue for
years to come.”

Otis Spunkmeyer will again offer the “Pink Looks Good on You”
promotion, featuring the Pink Cookie, September 1-October 31, 2008. The
company has also pledged another $60,000 contribution in support
of the 2008 promotion and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
